Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for a Woodworking Machinery Maintenance Engineer (مهندس صيانة ماكينات نجاره) based in Heliopolis. The role involves performing routine and corrective maintenance on woodworking machines, including inspection, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical and electrical components. The engineer will diagnose equipment issues, identify root causes, replace faulty parts, and ensure machines operate safely and efficiently. Daily tasks include executing preventive maintenance schedules, documenting maintenance activities, and coordinating with production teams to minimize downtime. The role also involves monitoring machine performance, recommending improvements, and ensuring compliance with safety procedures and company standards. Qualifications
Strong practical experience in Equipment Maintenance and Maintenance & Repair for woodworking or similar industrial machinery.
Solid background in Maintenance Engineering with the ability to read technical manuals, mechanical drawings, and equipment specifications.
Hands-on experience with Preventive Maintenance programs, including scheduling, inspections, and documentation to reduce unplanned breakdowns.
Proficiency in Electrical Maintenance, including basic diagnostics, wiring checks, sensors, motors, and control panels related to woodworking machines.
Technical diploma or bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering, or a closely related field.
Familiarity with workshop safety standards, lockout/tagout procedures, and safe operation of industrial equipment.
Ability to analyze problems quickly, prioritize tasks, and respond effectively to urgent maintenance requests.
Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate with production, warehouse, and management teams.
Previous experience in furniture, wood, or manufacturing industries is preferred.
Willingness to work on-site full time in Heliopolis and, when needed, perform overtime or shift work to support production schedules.
