Overview of the Role:
The Warehouse Pharmacist is responsible for the overall upkeep of the central drugstore, the accurate transfer of items to clinics and pharmacies, and ensuring full regulatory compliance through the management of the MOH license. This role oversees the entire lifecycle of pharmaceutical inventory, from cold chain receiving to the complex processing of returns, expiries, and disposals.
What You Will Do:
Regulatory Compliance & MOH Inspections: Act as the primary MOH license holder.
Manage MOH inspections, provide comprehensive reporting on inspection outcomes, and develop/execute strategic action plans to address any points or observations raised during inspections.
Disposal Management: Plan and coordinate monthly disposal requests for expired stock. Ensure all necessary approvals are obtained from the MOH before physical disposal to maintain legal compliance.
Inventory & Expiry Lifecycle: Manage the end-to-end expiry process from returns to disposal or vendor replacement. Implement FEFO (First-Expiry, First-Out) and conduct monthly monitoring of expiration dates.
Cycle Count & Discrepancy Resolution: Maintain pharmaceutical inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts. Coordinate with pharmacies to resolve discrepancies related to transfers, returns, or system errors.
Receiving & Cold Chain Integrity: Receive shipments, specifically auditing refrigerated drugs. Verify physical stock against POs/Packing Slips and sign invoices as the licensed pharmacist ensuring cold chain was maintained.
Professional Conduct & Reporting: Maintain professional communication on official channels with Pharmacies and Finance. Develop and maintain reporting templates for all returns, disposals, and official transactions.
Warehouse Operations: Ensure the drugstore is well-organized, clean, and properly stocked according to safety protocols. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth daily operations and report any security or safety incidents immediately.
What Qualifies You For The Role:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy
Certification: Valid MOH License is Mandatory.
Minimum Experience and Knowledge: Minimum of 2–3 years of relevant experience in a similar role within a pharmaceutical warehouse or drugstore environment.
