Job Purpose
The Videographer / Video Editor is responsible for bringing the brand story to life through captivating video content across digital, social, and in-store channels. This role combines hands-on filming with post-production expertise to produce high-quality, engaging videos that elevate brand awareness, drive consumer connection, and support marketing campaigns.
Job Responsibilities
• Video Production & Filming
– Plan, shoot, and direct high-quality video content including product promos, brand stories, testimonials, event coverage, tutorials, and social-first videos (Reels, TikToks, YouTube Shorts).
– Set up lighting, audio, and camera gear to ensure professional-level production in diverse environments (studio, in-store, apiaries, live events).
• Video Editing & Post-Production
– Edit raw footage into polished final videos, adding transitions, motion graphics, sound effects, color grading, and branded animations to ensure consistency with brand style.
– Create short-form video edits tailored to social platforms (vertical formats, hook-driven storytelling).
• Photography, Mood Boards & Photo Editing
– Capture high-quality still images of products, behind-the-scenes moments, events, or lifestyle shots that align with brand campaigns.
– Build visual mood boards and shot concepts to guide both video and photo shoots, ensuring creative consistency across assets.
– Perform basic photo retouching and color correction in Lightroom or Photoshop, preparing images for social media, website banners, and print collateral.
• Motion Graphics & Overlays
– Design simple motion graphics, title cards, animated text, and branded lower thirds to enhance storytelling and brand recall.
– Integrate existing brand graphics into video assets.
• Social Media & Ads Content
– Develop highly engaging, platform-optimized videos for Instagram, TikTok, Snapchat, YouTube, and Facebook, understanding best practices for each (length, captions, thumbnails).
– Create short GIFs, cutdowns, teaser edits, and micro-content for paid social campaigns.
• Digital & Website Integration
– Produce video banners, homepage loops, campaign videos, and animations that drive online engagement.
• AI & Smart Video Tools
– Use AI tools (Runway, Adobe Firefly Video, Pictory, CapCut smart edits) for quicker cutting, captioning, resizing, and idea generation.
– Leverage AI for script assistance, storyboard variations, or generating concept visuals.
• Additional Creative Support
– Capture supporting stills during video shoots for social posts and website use.
– Occasionally assist with simple GIF or photo edits in Photoshop/Lightroom to maintain agile creative delivery.
Job Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in film production, Multimedia Arts, Digital Media, or a related field.
(Strong portfolios can substitute for formal degrees.)
• Certifications which will add credibility and demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning
Work Experience
• 2–4 years of hands-on experience in video production and editing, ideally in consumer brands, FMCG, e-commerce, or lifestyle industries.
• Proven track record of creating short-form videos that drive social engagement.
• Experience managing shoots, from pre-production planning to directing on-set.
• Worked closely with marketing teams to develop content that supports campaigns, product launches, or retail experiences.
• Managed multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment, adapting edits based on analytics or rapid campaign pivots.
Bonus Skills (Preferred but not required)
• Ability to animate logos, infographics, or simple kinetic text in After Effects.
• Photography skills for hybrid shoots (capturing stills alongside video).
• Drone operation and aerial videography certification (if applicable).
• Knowledge of sound design or voice-over direction.
• Experience with AI voice tools or auto-captioning software.
• Familiarity with Arabic typography in video overlays if relevant to market.
Language Skills
• Fluent in English and Arabic
