WFP Lebanon Country Office is seeking a Supply Chain Officer with strong technical expertise, leadership capabilities, and stakeholder management skills to lead complex supply chain operations and contribute to strategic planning and operational decision-making in coordination with internal and external stakeholders.
The Supply Chain Officer reports directly to the Country Director and serves as the Head of Supply Chain Unit for WFP Lebanon Country Office. The role provides strategic oversight, coordination, and leadership across the Logistics, Procurement, and Food Safety & Quality (FSQ) pillars, ensuring an integrated end-to-end supply chain approach aligned with corporate standards, regional priorities, and country operational objectives.
The incumbent is responsible for ensuring operational effectiveness, cross-functional integration, compliance, risk management, and performance management across all supply chain functions. The role also supports service provision requirements for partners and contributes to operational readiness and emergency response capacities when required.
Job Purpose
To provide strategic and operational leadership, oversight, and coordination of integrated supply chain operations across Procurement, Logistics, Food Safety & Quality (FSQ), Retail, and, when activated in-country, Logistics Cluster and Humanitarian-Military Interaction (HMI) activities.
The incumbent is responsible for ensuring efficient, compliant, and cost-effective delivery of supply chain operations and services, while maximizing the effective utilization of resources to support programme objectives, partner requirements, and beneficiary needs.
The role maintains close coordination with Programme Units, Regional Office, HQ stakeholders, government counterparts, UN agencies, NGOs, and private sector partners to ensure timely delivery of goods and services in compliance with WFP regulatory frameworks and operational standards.
The incumbent also ensures that supply chain strategies and operational planning remain responsive to contextual and programme requirements, safeguarding the quality and safety of assistance while ensuring dignified and equitable delivery to vulnerable populations.
In addition, the role oversees the alignment of supply chain capabilities, operational planning, and service provision models to support both in-kind and cash-based interventions, including on-demand services and partner support requirements where applicable.

Standard Minimum Academic Qualifications
Education: Advanced University degree preferably in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Economics, Business Administration, Logistics, or other related field, or First University degree with additional years of related work experience and/or training/courses.
Experience: At least three (03) years of postgraduate professional experience in Supply Chain, Logistics or other related areas.
Language: Fluency (level C) in English and Arabic languages
