Description:
We are looking for an experienced IP / Transmission BO Engineer to provide 2nd line support, troubleshooting, and operational support for IP and Transmission networks within a telecom environment.
🔧 Key Responsibilities:
• Perform end-to-end 2nd level troubleshooting across IP and Transmission networks
• Support routers, L2/L3 switches, MPLS networks, and transmission nodes
• Handle configuration management, problem management, and node acceptance activities
• Troubleshoot transmission outages and degraded services using RTTS and Ericsson tools
• Support FO, NFM, TNOC, GPON, and Access teams in resolving network issues
• Follow up on design issues related to MW, SDH, IP/MPLS, DCN, and GPON networks
• Generate performance and utilization reports and recommend improvement actions
• Participate in audits, MDT/TCN reviews, and CSR handling with 3rd line support
• Perform network upgrades, patching, and configuration changes
🧠 Requirements:
• Minimum 7 years of IP Networking experience and 5 years of TAC / 2nd Line Support experience
• Strong knowledge of Routing & Switching, MPLS, OSPF, BGP, QoS, VRRP, and BFD
• Experience with Cisco, Ericsson SSR/SE, HP switches, and transmission technologies
• Knowledge of Ericsson Core, Access, and Charging IP connectivity is preferred
• Experience with Transmission technologies such as TN, MW, SDH, DWDM, XPIC, and ML6600 is a plus
• Cloud, Virtualization, and Scripting knowledge are advantageous
• Ability to work in a 24/5 shift environment with weekend on-call support
