Role Description
This is a full-time on-site position for a Technical Office Engineer in the furniture industry, based in New Cairo. The role includes preparing and reviewing shop drawings, conducting quantity surveys and BOQ preparations, and providing technical support for furniture and upholstery projects. The Technical Office Engineer will work closely with design, procurement, and site teams to ensure the accuracy and feasibility of engineering designs and specifications.

Key Responsibilities:
Job Requirements (Must-Have):
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Applied Arts (Interior & Furniture Design), Interior Engineering, Architecture.
Experience: 3 to 5 years of solid experience in a technical office role specifically within the furniture manufacturing industry (Home, Office, or Hospitality/Projects).
Software Skills: Full proficiency in AutoCAD (2D) and MS Excel as core requirements, with the ability to work on 3D modeling software (SolidWorks, SketchUp, 3ds Max) and familiarity with Generative AI tools exploration and workflow automation.
Material Knowledge: Deep understanding of all wood types (solid wood, MDF, plywood), modern hardware systems, upholstery fabrics, and chemical materials (paints and glues).
Key Traits: Sharp eye for details, strong technical problem-solving skills on the workshop floor, and the ability to interpret complex engineering drawings.
