Structural Draftsman

Key Responsibilities

• Independently interpret field notes and convert technical information into accurate structural drawings using AutoCAD.
• Prepare detailed structural design and shop drawings for reinforced concrete, structural steel, and masonry works based on engineer/designer markups, sketches, and specifications with minimal supervision.
• Revise and update drawings in accordance with project requirements, marked-up comments, rough sketches, and verbal instructions.
• Develop plans, elevations, sections, and construction details as required under the guidance of structural engineers.
• Ensure all drawings comply with project standards, codes, and company drafting procedures.
• Maintain and organize project drawing files, revisions, records, and related documentation systematically.
• Coordinate effectively with engineers, architects, and project teams to ensure timely completion of drafting deliverables.
• Manage assigned workload efficiently while working collaboratively within a team environment.

Requirements

• Diploma or professional qualification in Civil/Structural Drafting or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Structural Draftsman in structural or civil engineering consultancy projects.
• Strong knowledge of structural drafting for concrete, steel, and masonry structures.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Autodesk Revit.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Adobe PDF applications.
• Familiarity with building systems, structural detailing standards, and construction documentation.
• Strong communication and coordination skills with the ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
• Fluency in written and spoken English is mandatory.
• Transferable Iqama is preferred.
