Role Description
The Sr. Mechanical Engineer is a full-time on-site role based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The role involves overseeing the design, installation, and maintenance of mechanical systems, ensuring compliance with project specifications and applicable codes. Responsibilities include designing systems such as HVAC, plumbing, and firefighting, managing project timelines, supervising a team of engineers and technicians, and coordinating with architects and contractors. The candidate will also provide technical support, conduct site inspections, and ensure the quality and safety of mechanical installations.
Qualifications
- Expertise in Mechanical Engineering concepts, including HVAC, plumbing, and firefighting systems
- Experience in project management, scheduling, and coordinating with multidisciplinary teams
- Strong proficiency in CAD software and other engineering design tools
- Thorough understanding of local and international codes and standards related to MEP works
- Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and analytical skills
- Proven ability to lead and mentor a team effectively
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field is required; Master’s degree is a plus
- Prior experience in the UAE or Gulf region is highly advantageous
- Strong communication skills in English; proficiency in additional languages is an asset
