Position Title: Site Manager – High Voltage Substation Projects

Location: Saudi Arabia

Department: Power / EPC Projects

Reports To: Project Manager

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Site Manager specialized in the installation of High Voltage Substations. The candidate will be responsible for managing all site activities related to HV substation construction and installation works, ensuring compliance with project specifications, safety requirements, quality standards, and project schedules. Preference will be given to candidates with previous experience in Saudi Aramco projects and strong knowledge of Aramco standards and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise all site activities related to HV substation installation projects up to 380kV.
• Coordinate daily construction and installation activities with engineers, supervisors, subcontractors, and clients.
• Ensure compliance with Saudi Aramco standards, SEC standards, project specifications, and approved drawings.
• Monitor installation works including:

1. Power transformers
2. GIS/AIS equipment
3. HV/LV panels
4. Protection and control systems
5. Cable laying, glanding, termination, and testing preparation
6. Grounding and lighting systems

• Ensure proper execution of mechanical and electrical installation activities.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.
• Coordinate with QA/QC and HSE teams to ensure project compliance and safe work execution.
• Attend project meetings with clients, consultants, and subcontractors.
• Review method statements, work procedures, and installation schedules.
• Monitor manpower, equipment, and material availability at site.
• Resolve technical and site-related issues efficiently.
• Ensure work is completed within project schedule and budget.
• Support testing & commissioning activities when required.

Requirements

• Education
• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Experience
• Minimum 8–10 years of experience in High Voltage Substation projects.
• Proven experience in installation works for substations up to 132kV / 230kV / 380kV.
• Previous experience in Saudi Aramco projects is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Saudi Aramco standards, SEC standards, and international electrical standards.
• Experience in EPC projects is preferred.
• Technical Skills
• Strong understanding of substation installation activities and site management.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and technical documents.
• Familiar with QA/QC procedures and HSE requirements.
• Good knowledge of project planning and reporting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management tools.
