Shipping Executive
Job Responsibilities:
1. Import Operations
- Receive import booking details from suppliers/customers.
- Coordinate with freight forwarders and provide approved agent details.
- Follow up on shipment schedules, shipping documents, and cargo status.
- Ensure timely coordination for customs clearance and delivery.
2. Export Operations
- Receive export booking requests from the sales team.
- Coordinate and ensure smooth shipment movement from the UAE to GCC countries.
- Ensure full compliance with GCC country-specific regulations, documentation, and shipping requirements.
- Coordinate with transporters, clearing agents, and logistics partners to ensure timely delivery.
- Monitor export shipment status and provide timely updates to relevant teams.
3. Documentation & Coordination
- Verify and maintain shipping documents including:
- Commercial Invoice
- Packing List
- Bill of Lading / Airway Bill
- Certificate of Origin
- Customs documents
- Maintain accurate shipment records and reports.
- Coordinate with internal departments, suppliers, and logistics partners for smooth operations.
- Prepare and share shipment summaries and reports with the team leader and management on weekly and monthly basis.
Preferred Skills
- Strong knowledge of UAE and GCC import/export regulations and shipping requirements.
- Solid understanding of customs procedures and shipping documentation.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to manage multiple shipments, priorities, and tight deadlines efficiently.
Experience Required
- 2 to 4 years of experience in shipping, logistics, or supply chain operations within the UAE.
- Must have handled both import and export shipments.
- Preference for candidates from a fashion retail background.
