Role Overview
SIGMA is seeking a Senior Wireless Network Engineer with deep expertise in Cisco wireless technologies and a proven track record in delivering successful, large-scale wireless deployments.
This role is critical to Sigma’s service delivery model, covering the full lifecycle of wireless projects — from assessment and design to implementation, optimization, and handover.
The ideal candidate combines strong RF expertise, hands-on deployment experience, and customer-facing consulting skills.

Key Responsibilities
1. Wireless Design & Consulting
• Lead wireless network assessments and discovery workshops with customers
• Design scalable, secure, and high-performance WLAN solutions for indoor and outdoor environments
• Develop High-Level Design (HLD) and Low-Level Design (LLD) documents aligned with Sigma standards
• Perform capacity planning, coverage design, and high-density environment optimization
2. Site Surveys & RF Engineering
• Conduct predictive, passive, and active site surveys using tools such as Ekahau or AirMagnet
• Perform RF analysis, interference mitigation, and channel planning
• Deliver professional survey reports and heatmaps
3. Implementation & Delivery
• Deploy and configure Cisco wireless solutions (WLCs, Access Points, Cisco DNA Center)
• Execute end-to-end project implementation in line with Sigma delivery methodology
• Support indoor, outdoor, and specialized deployments (warehouses, campuses, public spaces)
4. Optimization & Troubleshooting
• Diagnose and resolve complex wireless performance and roaming issues
• Optimize networks for reliability, throughput, and user experience
• Conduct post-implementation validation and tuning
5. Documentation & Knowledge Transfer
• Produce detailed technical documentation, as-built diagrams, and reports
• Provide handover sessions and knowledge transfer to customer teams
• Contribute to Sigma’s internal best practices and reusable assets

Required Qualifications
• 8–12+ years of experience in enterprise wireless networking
• Proven experience delivering real-world, large-scale WLAN deployments
• Strong hands-on expertise with Cisco wireless portfolio
• Deep understanding of 802.11 standards (a/b/g/n/ac/ax) and RF fundamentals
• Extensive experience with site survey and RF planning tools
• Strong troubleshooting skills in complex enterprise environments
• Experience working in customer-facing roles or professional services engagements

• Expert-level certification required:
o Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert Wireless (CCIE Wireless) or equivalent
• Additional certifications are a plus:
o CCNP Enterprise (Wireless focus)
o Wireless vendor certifications

• Multi-vendor wireless experience, especially Aruba Networks
• Experience with outdoor wireless technologies (mesh, P2P, P2MP)
• Exposure to other vendors (Ruckus, Huawei, Juniper Mist)
• Familiarity with network automation, analytics, and AI-driven WLAN solutions
