We’re Hiring | Senior Refractory Consultant
Industrial / Petrochemical Plant | Contract: 40 days | Location : Abu Dhabi, UAE
iFluids Engineering is looking for a highly experienced Refractory Inspector to join our team on a short-term contract basis with the possibility of extension.
If you bring deep expertise in refractory lining systems for industrial and petrochemical plants — and hold a valid API-936 certification — we’d like to hear from you.
What we’re looking for:
- Degree in Ceramic Technology
- Valid API-936 Certification (or equivalent from a recognized engineering bureau)
- Membership in a recognized Ceramic or Refractory Institute
- 20+ years in refractory lining — spanning engineering, manufacturing, projects, construction, maintenance, and inspection
- 10+ years as a consultant / third-party inspector with a reputed refractory engineering bureau
- Strong knowledge of monolithic and non-monolithic systems — castables, bricks, fiber modules, mortar, injection, and anchorage
- Familiarity with HSE standards for refractory, insulation, and scaffolding
- Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, and relevant refractory design/inspection tools
- Strong command of English (reading, writing, and speaking)
- Physically fit for fieldwork — including scaffold access and equipment man-way entry
