Ekur Company is looking for talented individuals to join our team as (Senior Purchasing Specialist)
Location: Baghdad – Karada, Arasat Al-Hindyia
Working Days: Sunday – Thursday
Reporting to: Supply chain manager
Job Summary:
A Senior Purchasing Specialist manages the full P2P cycle, get in touch with suppliers, putting orders, ensuring timely delivery of goods to meet company objectives and store demand. Excellent analysis skill, proper control on orders, monitor deliveries and suppliers’ SLA, mentor junior staff, manage high-risk or high-value purchases, and ensure compliance with company policies.
Key Responsibilities:
• Operational Purchasing: Plan & Process purchase orders (POs), Follow for delivery, monitor vendor performance, and resolve suppliers’ issues.
• Supplier Management: Maintain relationships, evaluate vendor performance (quality, cost, delivery), and develop alternative sources.
• Data Analysis & Reporting: Analyse purchasing trends and market conditions to support cost-saving strategies.
• Collaboration & Compliance: Work with operation & sales to establish requirements and ensure compliance with quality standards and legal regulations.
• Leadership: Mentor junior staff and act as a subject matter expert in ERP/SAP procurement modules.
Key Requirements, Skills and Qualifications:
• Experience: 2–4 years of experience in procurement, supply chain, or purchasing roles. experience of work in retail businesses is advance.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• Skills: Strong negotiation, leadership, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
• Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with ERP systems like SAP, Odoo, …
• Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong understanding of policy frameworks, governance, and risk management.
