Senior General Ledger Accountant Full Time NEW

Role Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced and detail oriented General Ledger Accountant with strong technical accounting expertise and a deep understanding of end-to-end finance operations. The candidate should be capable of independently managing the GL, preparing accurate financial statements, and working closely with external auditors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and oversee the integrity of the General Ledger, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded.
• Lead month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Prepare full financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) with supporting schedules.
• Perform detailed account reconciliations and investigate variances.
• Ensure proper accounting treatment in line with IFRS/local standards.
• Work closely with external auditors and support audit requirements.
• Coordinate with AP and AR teams to ensure accurate and complete postings.
• Review payroll, accruals, and other key entries before posting to the GL.
• Prepare management reports and highlight key financial insights and risks.
• Strengthen accounting processes and internal controls.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/ACCA preferred).
• 6–10+ years of relevant experience in GL / Financial Accounting.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and financial reporting standards.
• Proven ability to prepare full financial statements independently.
• Hands-on experience dealing with external auditors.
• Strong understanding of AP, AR, payroll, and end-to-end accounting cycles.
• Experience with ERP systems (Oracle, SAP, or similar).
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
