-Oversee the drafting, negotiation, and execution of construction contracts, ensuring compliance with legal and company standards.
-Review and analyze contract terms and conditions to mitigate risks.
-Advise senior management on potential risks, liabilities, and opportunities regarding contracts.
-Lead the negotiation and resolution of disputes or claims between the client, contractors, and suppliers.
-Handle contract variations, change orders, and claims management.
-Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and internal requirements.
-Identify, assess, and mitigate contractual risks associated with the project.
-Monitor and manage the financial aspects of contracts, ensuring adherence to budget and timelines.
-Track progress and performance to ensure contractual obligations are met.
-Liaise with project managers, legal teams, and external stakeholders to ensure smooth contract implementation.
-Provide guidance and support to junior contracts engineers and other team members.
-Prepare and submit regular reports to management on contract performance, risks, and issues.
-Track contract milestones and deliverables, providing timely updates to stakeholders.
Qualifications
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
Experience
Minimum 5-7 years of experience in contracts management within the construction industry.
Key Knowledge, Skills & abilities
Language Skills
Excellent command in both written and spoken English and Arabic
Computer Skills
Proficiency in contract management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Technical Skills
Strong knowledge of construction contracts (FIDIC, NEC, etc.), procurement procedures, and construction laws.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to handle complex contract issues, claims, and disputes.
Familiarity with project management tools and software.
Experience in managing large-scale construction projects..
