Senior AP Control and Reconciliation Specialist Full Time

Job Purpose

Own the integrity of the payables sub-ledger through aging analysis, reconciliations, and held-payment control. Ensure goods-received / invoice-received items, retention, and vendor balances are accurate, aged, classified, and resolved.

Key Responsibilities

• Track and age goods-received / invoice-received balances and classify the root cause of every item above thirty days.
• Prepare action lists for the weekly working group and the monthly clearing forum, and drive items to closure.
• Reconcile the retention ledger to the general ledger on a monthly basis with a zero-difference standard.
• Reconcile vendor statements for the largest vendors monthly and for material vendors quarterly.
• Manage the held-payments register and follow up with the responsible owners until resolution.
• Prepare month-end accruals and the accounts payable close pack for the Financial Controller.
• Track bonds and guarantees in coordination with the subcontract administration team.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 3 to 5 years in accounts payable, general ledger, or reconciliation roles.
• Strong spreadsheet skills and a solid grasp of reconciliation techniques.
• Awareness of relevant accounting standards, including expected credit loss principles.
• Experience with NetSuite or a comparable ERP. Fluent in Arabic and English.
