About the Job
We are seeking a thoughtful, research-driven Science and Digital Transformation Lead to develop and deliver initiatives at the intersection of scientific practice, digital innovation, and organizational transformation. The successful candidate will lead research, concept development, and strategic delivery for programs and projects that translate complex scientific and technological ideas into practical, scalable, and accessible digital solutions. This is a hands-on role working closely with scientists, technologists, partner institutions, and the communications team to build intellectually rich, forward-looking initiatives and accompanying programs.
Responsibilities
Lead research and concept development for initiatives combining science, digital transformation, and innovation.
Identify, commission and cultivate relationships with scientists, technologists, researchers, and strategic partners.
Produce strategic texts, labels, briefing materials, press materials, and report-style essays that communicate complex topics clearly.
Develop initiative timelines, production briefs, and coordinate implementation with technical teams and vendors.
Manage project budgets, schedules and supplier/contractor relationships.
Organize accompanying public programs: talks, panel discussions, workshops, residencies, and educational materials.
Liaise with scientific partners to ensure technical accuracy and ethical presentation of research; arrange access to labs, prototypes or datasets as required.
Oversee documentation, photography, and archival records for each initiative.
Support fundraising and grant applications by preparing research summaries and proposals.
Monitor audience feedback and research impact; refine interpretive strategies to increase accessibility, adoption, and engagement.
Qualifications
Minimum BA/MA in Science & Technology Studies, Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Physics, or a related field; PhD or equivalent research experience preferred.
At least 3–5 years strategy, research, or program experience in a lab, innovation hub, consultancy, university, or equivalent professional/academic setting.
Demonstrable interest in and familiarity with science and digital transformation topics (innovation strategy, automation, AI, IoT, blockchain, XR, or related domains) — deep technical expertise is not required, but proven ability to learn and collaborate with scientists is essential.
Strong research, writing and editorial skills — able to produce clear, engaging strategic and technical materials.
Project management experience: budgets, timelines, supplier coordination and logistics.
Excellent interpersonal skills and experience building cross-disciplinary collaborations between scientists, technologists, institutions, and stakeholders.
Experience programming public talks, workshops, or education activities.
Commitment to accessible presentation and ethical engagement with scientific content.
Portfolio or track record of curated initiatives, strategy projects, or applied science/digital transformation programs (links or PDF).
Fluency in English; additional languages an asset.
What We Offer
The opportunity to shape a high-visibility, interdisciplinary science and digital transformation program.
A collaborative team of designers, producers, researchers and communications specialists.
Competitive compensation and project-related resources (production budget, research funds).
Support for travel and research visits to partner labs and institutions.
Professional development and publication opportunities.
