In-House SAP Business ByDesign Focal Point

ABOUT THE ROLE
Our client a multi-business group based in the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia that recently went live on SAP Business ByDesign and are now bringing SAP ownership in-house as they move from initial implementation into post go-live stabilization and continuous improvement.
They are looking for a hands-on SAP Application Specialist to be our internal SAP focal point, supporting users, refining workflows, building reports, configuring processes, and coordinating with the implementation partner and internal teams to get the most out of SAP across the business.
is a functional, business-facing role for someone who understands how SAP supports finance, procurement, sales, inventory, operations and HR, and who can translate user needs into practical SAP improvements.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Act as the internal SAP focal point for users across all departments
• Provide day-to-day SAP user support, troubleshooting and guidance
• Configure and refine SAP Business ByDesign workflows, approvals and business processes
• Build and maintain SAP reports and management dashboards
• Translate business requirements into practical SAP improvements
• Coordinate with our SAP implementation partner on complex configuration and escalations
• Coordinate SAP integration requirements with internal IT and external application developers (you do not need to build integrations yourself)
• Document workflows, configuration changes, reports and integration logic
• Train users on improved processes and new reports
• Maintain SAP knowledge inside the company through clear documentation and internal process ownership
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• 4+ years of SAP experience, with at least 2 years in hands-on functional support, configuration or business process work
• Practical experience supporting SAP users and resolving workflow, reporting or process issues
• Solid working knowledge of at least 2–3 of: finance, procurement, sales, inventory, operations, HR
• Comfortable across all SAP business areas, willing to deepen knowledge where needed with implementation-partner support
• Strong troubleshooting, documentation and communication skills
• Comfortable working with non-technical business users and translating their needs into system improvements
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
• Hands-on SAP Business ByDesign experience — strongly preferred but not required. Strong S/4HANA, SAP ECC or SAP Business One candidates who are willing to learn ByDesign are very welcome to apply.
• Previous experience as an in-house SAP key user, SAP support specialist or SAP application owner
• SAP consultants who are now looking to settle into an in-house role are welcome
• Experience across multiple business types within one group (trading, services, contracting, manufacturing, distribution, etc.)
• Familiarity with SAP integrations using OData, web services or middleware (you will coordinate integrations, not build them — but understanding helps)
• Familiarity with Power BI, SharePoint, Power Automate or Power Apps
• Bachelor’s degree in IT, CS, IS, Business, Accounting, Engineering or related field — preferred but not required; strong experience matters more
