About the Job
We are seeking a thoughtful, research-driven Research-to-Innovation Manager to help transform ideas, insights, and research into practical, high-impact initiatives. The successful candidate will lead research, concept development, and delivery for projects that translate complex opportunities into scalable, accessible, and effective solutions. This is a hands-on role working closely with leadership, researchers, partners, and internal teams to build intellectually strong, well-coordinated, and future-focused programs and initiatives.
Responsibilities
Lead research and concept development for initiatives that connect research with innovation.
Identify, commission and cultivate relationships with researchers, experts, technologists, partners, and stakeholders.
Produce research briefs, concept notes, reports, presentations, and supporting materials that communicate complex topics clearly.
Develop initiative timelines, production briefs, and coordinate implementation with technical teams and vendors.
Manage project budgets, schedules and supplier/contractor relationships.
Organize accompanying workshops, talks, panel discussions, training sessions, and educational materials.
Liaise with partners and subject-matter experts to ensure accurate, ethical, and effective presentation of research and innovation; arrange access to data, prototypes, or environments as required.
Oversee documentation, photography, and archival records for each initiative.
Support fundraising and grant applications by preparing research summaries and proposals.
Monitor audience feedback and research impact; refine strategies to increase accessibility, adoption, and engagement.
Qualifications
Minimum BA/MA in Business, Innovation, Science & Technology Studies, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field; PhD or equivalent research experience preferred.
At least 3–5 years research, innovation, or program experience in a company, startup, consultancy, lab, or equivalent professional/academic setting.
Demonstrable interest in and familiarity with innovation topics (applied research, emerging technologies, digital transformation, product development, automation, or related domains) — deep technical expertise is not required, but proven ability to learn and collaborate with experts is essential.
Strong research, writing and editorial skills — able to produce clear, engaging strategic and technical materials.
Project management experience: budgets, timelines, supplier coordination and logistics.
Excellent interpersonal skills and experience building cross-disciplinary collaborations between researchers, technologists, institutions and business stakeholders.
Experience programming public talks, workshops, or educational activities.
Commitment to accessible presentation and ethical engagement with research content.
Portfolio or track record of research-to-innovation projects, programs, prototypes, or related work (links or PDF).
Fluency in English; additional languages an asset.
What We Offer
The opportunity to shape a high-visibility, interdisciplinary research-to-innovation program.
A collaborative team of designers, producers, researchers and communications specialists.
