Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Project Lead – MEP role based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The Project Lead – MEP will oversee end-to-end planning, coordination, and execution of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing works across assigned projects. Responsibilities include reviewing designs and drawings, preparing material submittals, coordinating with consultants, contractors, and suppliers, and ensuring compliance with relevant codes, standards, and project specifications. The role involves scheduling and monitoring site activities, supervising MEP teams and subcontractors, and resolving technical issues to keep projects on time and within budget. The Project Lead – MEP will also prepare progress reports, support testing and commissioning activities, manage project documentation, and ensure that safety and quality procedures are followed at all times. Qualifications
Strong technical background in Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing systems, including design review, installation methods, and testing and commissioning.
Proven experience in managing MEP works for commercial, industrial, or construction projects, preferably within the Middle East or UAE market.
Solid project management capabilities, including planning, scheduling, resource allocation, cost control, and risk management.
Ability to coordinate with multidisciplinary stakeholders, including clients, consultants, main contractors, suppliers, and site teams.
Familiarity with relevant international and local codes, standards, and regulations related to MEP and construction.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, specifications, and BIM or CAD-based documentation.
Strong communication, leadership, and team supervision skills, with the ability to mentor and guide site staff.
Attention to detail, problem-solving mindset, and the ability to make informed decisions under time constraints.
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Electromechanical Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
Professional certifications in project management or MEP specialties are an advantage (e.g., PMP, LEED, or equivalent).
Comfort working on-site in dynamic construction environments and adhering to health, safety, and environmental requirements.
