Support and oversee the day-to-day operations of Product Development and Supply Planning activities, ensuring alignment with approved business strategies, policies, processes, and procedures.
Assist the Product Development Manager in ensuring operational consistency, execution discipline, and compliance across all development activities.
Coordinate and support the implementation of New Product Development (NPD) initiatives within the Innovation Department, working closely with multiple Business Units (BUs) to develop and launch new product categories to the SFC shelf.
Manage and coordinate the preparation, presentation, and review of prototype samples, liaising with BUs and the SMS team to support qualitative, quantitative, consumer, and customer research objectives.
Supervise and facilitate customer and consumer trials in coordination with the SMS team to validate new product prototypes and concepts.
Review, analyze, and evaluate consumer and customer research reports issued by the SMS team, identifying key insights, strengths, gaps, risks, and recommended action plans for product improvement or optimization.
Assist in the formalization and standardization of new product documentation, including specifications, recipes, ingredient lists, approved suppliers, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the manufacturing of newly developed products.
Oversee and coordinate required chemical, physical, and instrumental analyses for new product samples to ensure product validation, verification, and compliance with internal and external standards.
Ensure full implementation and adherence to Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), as well as safety, quality, and security controls within the Innovation Central Laboratory.
Leadership & Continuous Improvement
Actively support the identification and execution of continuous improvement initiatives related to product development systems, tools, and workflows, in line with international best practices.
Contribute to initiatives aimed at process optimization, cost efficiency, cycle-time reduction, and productivity improvement within the product development function.
Track, evaluate, and report on the quality and effectiveness of implemented improvements to ensure alignment with corporate performance expectations.
Reporting & Governance
Prepare, review, and validate technical, operational, and management reports in a timely and accurate manner to meet AICE and departmental requirements, policies, and quality standards.
Ensure proper documentation control, traceability, and management of all product development records and reports.
Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)
Monitor and support compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies, procedures, and controls within product development and laboratory activities.
Assist in minimizing safety incidents, environmental risks, and non-compliance with local legislation and company HSE standards.
Promote a culture of safety, quality, and environmental responsibility across the product development team.
Related Assignments
Perform additional tasks, projects, or assignments as delegated by the Product Development Manager or Line Manager.
Provide regular updates, feedback, and support to management to ensure alignment with departmental goals and performance expectations.
Job Requirements
Academic and professional qualifications:
Bachelor degree of Agriculture or Science (Chemistry/ Food Chemistry) Universities
Chemical/ food Chemical lab certificates is preferred
Experience:
from 3 to 5 years of experience in the same field
Minimum 2 years of experience in Oil & Fat industries is preferable
