Your team

You will become a part of the Finance Product Development Domain (PDD) which is at the heart of MX.3 software evolution, where you will integrate the PES Product Control team.

The PES Product Control team oversees designing, validating, and delivering solutions to enable our clients to produce their daily “official P&L” which is used by internal stakeholders like traders, risk officers, financial control department and management, to assess the performance of the business. There are numerous controls exercised by this function, one of them is the decomposition of P&L into its underlying components and pricing drivers (P&L attribution). Another one is the P&L adjustment to consider regulations’ constraints (valuation adjustments, IPV) amongst others and, as well as the calculations of some of those adjustments. P&L transfers across desks are also in the scope.

Your Role

Product Support

You will be working alongside developers, consultants, product experts from other domains – Trading, Risk Management – or clients worldwide, to act as a product specialist on P&L and, on a longer term, as a specialist on Product Control full scope:

• Provide 3rd level support for existing projects (all asset classes concerned)
• Organize corrective maintenance with development teams
• Enhance the existing product documentation

Product Evolution

Study market practices

• Reading regulation driven recommendations and customers/prospects documentation
• Assisting in demo preparations or client driven proof of concepts if required
• Assisting client division projects testing and listening to client requirements

Capitalize On Existing Projects Or Market Practices By

• Assisting in product specifications/design to address internal or client requirements (such as a focus on given product asset classes representative scope) and,
• Accompanying the evolution of our solution (build and validation

Participate in long- and short-term solution-as-a-package activities (config as code) as a contributor and code reviewer

Your Profile

• 5+ years of experience in technology for capital markets or the banking industry
• Strong academic background in technology, finance, engineering, or business
• Proven experience in supervising deliveries involving innovation, in an Agile framework, with:
• Experienced interactions within a cross-functional team and managing relationships with stakeholders
• Ability to take initiatives and manage priorities in a dynamic environment
• Ability to anticipate issues/risks and trigger corrective actions (ex-ante)
• Ability to develop trust-based relationships with other teams by sharing regular context and evolution information
• Appetite for developing others on the learning and autonomy path, incentivizing them to research, get trained and learn by doing
• Curious to learn about different products, discover new practices where new things are to be built, strengthened, and shared
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong presenter and effective communication skills, with fluency in English
• At ease working autonomously or as part of a team
• Practice of technology tools or methodologies, e.g. GIT workflow, PYTHON, SQL, UNIX
• You are open to commute regularly to our Paris office
