Overview

As a Procurement Engineer, you will be responsible for sourcing, evaluating, and procuring materials, equipment, and subcontracted services related to your discipline. You will collaborate closely with technical and project teams to ensure timely procurement, cost efficiency, and compliance with project specifications.

The successful candidates will contribute directly to optimizing the supply chain, maintaining project schedules, and ensuring the highest standards of quality and performance.

This is a full-time, on-site position based in Giza, Egypt
Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end procurement activities for civil or electrical materials, equipment, and subcontracted services.
• Review project requirements, drawings, BOQs, and technical specifications to identify procurement needs.
• Source, evaluate, and prequalify suppliers and subcontractors.
• Prepare RFQs, analyze quotations, and conduct technical and commercial evaluations.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules, and contractual conditions with suppliers.
• Coordinate with Technical Office, Project Management, and Site Teams to ensure timely procurement and delivery.
• Monitor supplier performance and maintain strong vendor relationships.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and company procurement procedures.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and support value engineering initiatives.
• Track market trends, material availability, and price fluctuations to support procurement planning.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
• Proven experience in procurement within construction, infrastructure, or contracting companies.
• Strong understanding of construction materials, technical specifications, and procurement processes.
• Experience in supplier sourcing, vendor management, and contract negotiation.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced project environment.
