Planning Engineer – Water Treatment Projects Full Time NEW

We are hiring a Planning Engineer for our client, a well-established water and wastewater treatment company in Dubai with over 15 years of industry presence. The company specializes in EPC, installation, and maintenance of water treatment systems serving industrial, commercial, and municipal sectors.

Position Overview

The Planning Engineer will be responsible for planning, scheduling, monitoring, and coordinating engineering projects to ensure timely and cost-effective execution. The role requires close coordination with internal teams, contractors, suppliers, and clients to maintain project schedules, optimize resource allocation, and mitigate project risks.

• Salary: AED 12,000 – 20,000 (all-inclusive)

Key Responsibilities

Project Planning & Scheduling

• Develop detailed project plans and schedules using Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or similar project management software.
• Define project scope, timelines, milestones, and deliverables in coordination with management and stakeholders.
• Identify critical path activities and potential project bottlenecks.
• Establish baseline schedules and monitor adherence throughout the project lifecycle.

Resource Management

• Determine manpower, material, and equipment requirements for projects.
• Coordinate with procurement and logistics teams to ensure timely availability of resources.
• Monitor resource utilization and recommend adjustments to meet project objectives.

Progress Monitoring & Reporting

• Track project progress against approved schedules and baselines.
• Prepare periodic progress reports, dashboards, forecasts, and variance analysis.
• Identify schedule delays and propose corrective and preventive actions.
• Support management with project performance insights and planning updates.

Risk Management

• Conduct project risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies.
• Monitor project risks continuously throughout execution.
• Implement contingency plans to minimize disruptions and delays.

Stakeholder Coordination

• Coordinate with project teams, contractors, consultants, suppliers, and clients.
• Facilitate project review meetings and ensure alignment across departments.
• Maintain effective communication regarding project status, risks, and schedule changes.

Documentation & Compliance

• Maintain comprehensive project documentation including schedules, reports, correspondences, and records.
• Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare and submit required project documentation to clients and authorities.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
• Proven experience in project planning and scheduling, preferably within water treatment, EPC, or infrastructure projects.
• Strong proficiency in Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Project.
• Solid understanding of project management principles and methodologies.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in water and wastewater treatment projects.
• Familiarity with EPC project environments.
• Knowledge of UAE project standards and industry practices
