Job Title: Patch Management Expert (ManageEngine Specialist)

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Patch Management Expert with deep hands-on experience in ManageEngine Endpoint Central (Desktop Central) and related modules. The ideal candidate will be responsible for end-to-end patch lifecycle management, including patch assessment, testing, deployment, rollback, and reporting across enterprise environments. The role requires strong expertise in distribution servers, package creation, automation, and compliance enforcement.
Key Responsibilities
Patch Management Operations
Manage the complete patch lifecycle: scanning, assessment, testing, deployment, and rollback.
Ensure timely deployment of security patches, critical updates, and third-party patches.
Monitor patch compliance and enforce SLAs across all endpoints.
Perform risk assessment before deploying patches in production.
ManageEngine Administration
Administer and maintain all relevant ManageEngine modules, including:
Patch Management
Software Deployment
Inventory Management
OS Deployment (if applicable)
Endpoint Security features
Configure and optimize patch policies, deployment windows, and reboot settings.
Maintain dashboards, reports, and compliance metrics.
Package Creation & Deployment
Design, build, and deploy custom software packages using ManageEngine.
Handle silent installations, scripting (BAT, PowerShell, etc.), and dependency management.
Test packages in staging environments before production rollout.
Distribution Server Management
Configure and manage Distribution Servers (DS) for remote offices.
Optimize bandwidth utilization and content replication.
Troubleshoot synchronization and patch distribution issues.
Patch Rollback & Troubleshooting
Plan and execute patch rollback strategies when issues arise.
Investigate patch failures and provide root cause analysis (RCA).
Maintain rollback documentation and recovery procedures.
Automation & Scripting
Automate patching and deployment tasks using scripts and workflows.
Integrate with ITSM tools (e.g., ServiceDesk) for change management.
Schedule and orchestrate patch jobs across environments.
Compliance & Reporting
Generate compliance reports for audits and management.
Ensure adherence to security standards and regulatory requirements.
Maintain documentation of patching processes and policies.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Technical Skills
Strong hands-on experience with ManageEngine Endpoint Central (Desktop Central).
Expertise in:
Patch deployment & rollback
Software packaging & deployment
Distribution server configuration
Proficiency in scripting:
PowerShell
Batch scripting
Knowledge of:
Windows OS patching (primary)
Linux/macOS patching (preferred)
Experience with third-party patching (Adobe, Java, browsers, etc.).
Infrastructure Knowledge
Understanding of enterprise IT environments:
Active Directory
Networking basics
Endpoint security tools
TPAM
Experience working with large-scale distributed environments.
Preferred Qualifications
Certifications in ManageEngine, Microsoft, or Endpoint Management.
Experience integrating with:
ITSM tools (e.g., ServiceNow, ManageEngine ServiceDesk)
Knowledge of vulnerability management tools.
Soft Skills
Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities.
Ability to work under pressure during patch cycles.
Good communication and documentation skills.
Detail-oriented with a focus on security and compliance.
Experience
5+ years in Patch Management / Endpoint Management.
Proven experience in ManageEngine environments.
