Job Purpose
The Oracle EBS HCM Consultant is responsible for implementing, configuring, supporting, and enhancing Oracle E-Business Suite Human Capital Management modules. The role works closely with HR business users, technical teams, and project stakeholders to analyze requirements, design solutions, configure the system, support testing, and ensure successful delivery of Oracle HCM-related services.
Key Responsibilities
· Understand HR business processes and translate them into Oracle EBS HCM configurations and solutions.
· Participate in requirement gathering workshops and business process discussions.
· Prepare functional design documents, configuration documents, test scripts, and user guides.
· Configure Oracle EBS HCM modules based on approved business requirements and policies.
· Support CRP, SIT, UAT, go-live preparation, and post-go-live stabilization activities.
· Coordinate with technical consultants for reports, integrations, conversions, extensions, workflows, and customizations.
· Provide functional troubleshooting and production support for HR and payroll-related issues.
· Conduct user training and knowledge transfer sessions for HR and system users.
Oracle EBS HCM Functional Scope
· Core HR: organization structures, jobs, positions, grades, people management, and assignments.
· Payroll: payroll elements, balances, payroll processing support, costing, and statutory requirements where applicable.
· Self-Service HR: employee and manager self-service transactions, approvals, and workflows.
· Absence Management: leave types, accrual plans, absence rules, and related approvals.
· Oracle Time and Labor, Performance Management, Learning Management, and iRecruitment, depending on project scope.
Main Duties
· Gather and analyze HR and payroll business requirements.
· Configure Oracle EBS HCM modules and validate setup against approved business processes.
· Support data migration, cleansing, mapping, and validation activities.
· Prepare and execute test scenarios and support business users during UAT.
· Analyze production issues, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions.
· Support month-end, payroll processing, and HR operational activities when required.
· Participate in system enhancement and change request activities.
· Maintain accurate documentation for configurations, processes, and support procedures.
Required Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Information Technology, Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field.
· Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Oracle E-Business Suite HCM implementation and support.
· Hands-on experience with Oracle EBS R12 HCM modules.
· Strong understanding of HR and payroll business processes.
· Experience in requirement gathering, solution design, configuration, testing, and user training.
Required Technical and Functional Skills
· Strong knowledge of Oracle EBS HCM, especially Core HR.
· Experience with Oracle Payroll, Self-Service HR, Absence Management, Performance Management, Oracle Time and Labor, Learning Management, or iRecruitment.
· Understanding of HR organization structures, jobs, positions, grades, payroll elements, assignment rules, and approval workflows.
· Ability to prepare functional specifications for reports, integrations, workflows, and customizations.
· Good knowledge of Oracle EBS setup, responsibilities, menus, concurrent programs, and profile options.
· Basic understanding of SQL and Oracle database concepts is an advantage.
· Experience in data migration and validation activities.
· Knowledge of AIM, OUM, or similar implementation methodology is preferred.
