Job Description
A well-established Eye Center is hiring a motivated and proactive Optometrist / Junior Ophthalmologist to assist doctors during clinic workflow and provide high-quality patient care.
The role includes patient workup, visual acuity testing, pinhole vision, auto-refraction, refraction, taking organized patient history, preparing patients for cornea, cataract, and refractive consultations, and assisting doctors during busy clinic sessions.
Junior Ophthalmologists with an interest in refractive surgery and cornea will be given priority.
The candidate will also work with electronic medical records, help prepare doctors’ surgery schedules and investigations, maintain smooth patient flow, and follow clinic protocols and doctor instructions carefully.
Work will be shift-based between our Giza and New Cairo branches, with 6–8 hour shifts.
Competitive salary plus performance-based commission/incentives.
Job Requirements
- Optometrist or junior ophthalmologist background
- Previous experience in ophthalmology clinics or eye centers preferred
- Good refraction skills
- Able to take clear and organized patient history
- Able to use electronic medical records
- Punctual, proactive, efficient, and well-organized
- Strong communication skills with patients and clinic staff
- Able to work in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Willing to work between Giza and New Cairo branches
- Professional appearance and attitude
- Attention to detail and willingness to learn
