Online Distribution Manager (E-Commerce) – based on property in East Africa

We are seeking an experienced and commercially driven Online Distribution Manager (E-Commerce) to oversee and optimize the online distribution strategy for a luxury resort operation in East Africa. This property is part of an established luxury hospitality group with hotels and resorts globally.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maximizing online revenue performance, managing OTA relationships, enhancing direct booking strategies, and ensuring seamless coordination between reservations, revenue management, sales, and marketing teams.

This role is ideal for a hospitality professional with strong resort e-commerce expertise, analytical capabilities, and a passion for driving digital performance in a luxury resort environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and optimize all online distribution channels including OTAs, brand websites, GDS, wholesalers, and third-party platforms
• Develop and implement e-commerce strategies to maximize occupancy, ADR, and overall online revenue
• Monitor channel performance, rate parity, inventory allocation, and promotional campaigns
• Work closely with Revenue Management and Reservations to support pricing and distribution strategies
• Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and booking patterns to identify revenue opportunities
• Coordinate with Marketing teams to improve digital visibility, online conversions, and direct bookings
• Ensure accurate content management across all online channels and booking platforms
• Prepare regular performance reports and recommendations for senior management
• Support system integrations and connectivity between PMS, CRS, channel managers, and booking engines
• Maintain strong relationships with OTA market managers and external distribution partners

Candidate Profile:

• Previous experience in Online Distribution, E-Commerce, Revenue, or Digital Distribution within luxury resort operations is essential
• Background working within resorts internationally. East Africa experience would be highly advantageous
• Strong understanding of hospitality commercial operations, online revenue strategies, and guest booking behavior
• Hands-on experience with channel management systems, CRS, PMS platforms, booking engines, and reservations systems
• Knowledge of OTA optimization, revenue support functions, and digital distribution best practices
• Highly organized with strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Able to thrive in an international, multicultural environment and relocate internationally as required
• Results-oriented professional with a proactive and collaborative leadership style
