Role Description This is a remote, contract role for a middle school Mathematics Teacher with a background in professional content writing. The role includes writing math material for middle school learners, aligning with relevant curricula and adapting materials for diverse learning needs.

The teacher will create, refine, and adapt digital math learning materials, such as exercises, worksheets, quizzes, and explanatory texts, based on Methodica’s pedagogical and neuroscientific guidelines. Daily tasks include collaborating with instructional designers acting as content experts, and participating in virtual meetings as needed. The role also involves writing clear, accurate, and engaging professional content related to mathematics and learning processes, ensuring it is suitable for both educators and students.

Qualifications

• Mathematics education: Proven experience teaching mathematics at the middle school level, with strong command of core middle school math topics and classroom or virtual teaching practice.
• Content development: Experience creating lesson plans, learning units, assessments, and practice materials tailored to middle school learners.
• Professional writing: Demonstrated background in writing professional or educational content (e.g., articles, guides, curricula, or digital learning modules) in clear, structured, and learner-friendly language.
• Digital learning and tools: Ability to work with digital learning platforms, virtual classrooms, and collaborative tools; experience adapting content for online or blended learning environments.
• Pedagogy and assessment: Strong understanding of instructional design principles, differentiation, and formative/summative assessment for middle school students.
• Collaboration and work style: Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage deadlines, and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Mathematics Education, Education, or a related field; teaching certification and/or advanced degree is a plus.
