We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly skilled MEP Technical Office Engineer to join our engineering team. In this role, you will serve as the crucial link between project design and site execution. You will be responsible for engineering calculations, reviewing shop drawings, resolving multi-disciplinary clashes, and managing material submittals to ensure our construction projects are executed seamlessly, on time, and within budget.
Shop Drawings & Coordination: Prepare, review, and modify detailed MEP shop drawings. Lead the coordination process using BIM/Revit to detect and resolve spatial clashes between HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and structural elements.
Material Submittals: Review technical data sheets, vendor offers, and samples against project specifications. Prepare and track comprehensive material submittal packages for consultant/client approval.
Quantity Surveying: Perform precise material take-offs (MTO) and verify the Bill of Quantities (BOQ). Assist in preparing subcontractor invoices and client payment applications.
RFIs & Variations: Identify design discrepancies early, draft Requests for Information (RFIs), and evaluate the cost/scope impact of variation orders.
Project Handover: Review and compile final As-Built drawings and Operation & Maintenance (O&M) manuals.
For Infrastructure Projects:
Composite Utility Drawings: Coordinate and produce Combined Utilities Drawings (CUD) to manage space allocation for deep infrastructure services (e.g., stormwater networks, sewage gravity lines, potable water rings, district cooling, and electrical/telecom duct banks).
Profile & Section Alignment: Review longitudinal profiles and cross-sections of infrastructure networks to ensure correct slopes, invert levels, and adequate burial depth protection.
Authority Approvals: Prepare technical dossiers and drawings required for submissions
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
Experience: Minimum of [4] years of experience specifically within an MEP Technical Office environment.
Software Proficiency: Advanced skills in AutoCAD and Revit (BIM) are mandatory. Familiarity with design software (e.g., HAP, Dialux, Elite) is a plus.
Codes & Standards: Strong working knowledge of international standards (e.g., ASHRAE, NFPA, IEC) and local building codes.
Skills: Strong analytical thinking, excellent negotiation skills for vendor management, and the ability to work under tight project deadlines.
For Infrastructure Projects:
Experience: Proven experience working specifically on large-scale infrastructure, infrastructure networks, or civil external works (not just building fit-outs).
Software: Proficiency in Civil 3D alongside AutoCAD is highly preferred for infrastructure grading and piping networks.
