Job Description
- Download daily IP discharged list from HIS and save the list on “2” excel sheets updated on daily basis for the month
– One sheet for following up the received / non received files (used by Sr. Officer to register the scanning process and follow up of the files done by the officer)
– The 2nd copy prepared for IP file analysis to register the file deficiency / completion of the documentation ( to be used by the analyst ) - Transcribe all the IP medical reports
- Transcribe the still admitted IP medical reports in ( GW & ICU ) units
- Transcribe all medical reports for OPD & ER patients if requested to be typed
- Generate a report for all IP discharge summary reports and collect the daily data to generate the monthly KPIs Chart based on:
– Discharge summary completeness
– Used Abbreviations
– Authentications - Create follow up sheet for discharge reports to smooth cooperation with CAM section in revising the medical reports according to the charged medical services for health insurance companies ( Credit Patients )
- Comply with good documentation practices for patients’ files and ensure professional indexing based on:
– Specialty
– Date
– Report type (Cash / Credit) - Print the reviewed report and endorse to MRD clerk for final approval ( DR. & CMO signatures)
- Print a draft copy of the discharge report that need amendment upon CAM reviewer request by email and follow up this report till the final approval
- Receive and transcribe hand written reports needed by Approval Section for ER, OPD patients to get the approvals of the insurance companies
- Receive and transcribe medical reports for any patients needed by International Office
- Prepare legal affairs’ reports for legal cases.
- Communicate with patients in case of any requested medical reports and comply with the hospital policy , Law and regulations to maintain the confidentiality and the privacy of patient
Job Requirements
- BC. Degree in Pharmacy or any medical, Scientific discipline
- Two (2) years of experience in a hospital or multi-disciplinary healthcare facility doing medical audio transcription or its equivalent
