Main scope
The Manufacturing Engineering Manager – plans, directs, and coordinates the activities of the maintenance, tooling, production, quality, and engineering departments; facilitating efficient manufacturing operations across the organization to fully support the production operation in the delivery of cost-efficient product units to its customers.
Duties, Responsibilities & Authorities
• Assigns jobs & set priorities; oversees the daily workflow of the department.
• Recruits, interviews, hires, and trains new staff in the department.
• Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations.
• Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.
• Analyses the current manufacturing operations to locate inefficiencies
• Collaborates with other department managers and leadership to set and assess priorities across teams.
• Assesses cost effectiveness and feasibility of manufacturing processes; makes and implements recommendations to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
• Supervises tooling operations, ensuring all work is performed accurately and according to quality and safety standards.
• Provides guidance and oversight in development and execution of plant renovations and expansions; coordinates outside contractors and vendors.
• Leads the implementation of the best Lean manufacturing practices which includes 5S, Kaizen, Kanban, and Value-stream Mapping (VSM).
• Improves the manufacturing routing time of various HVAC product models to ensure that all are in its optimum manufacturing process time.
• Approves the purchase, installation, and commissioning of new equipment associated with assigned area of the manufacturing plant
• Approves Machine Tools & Parts design / drawings; Improvement in design / drawings; Procedures for Tooling Design.
• Provides technical support for specific plant operations
• Prepares and implements the departmental budget.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Education Level
• Degree in Engineering (Production/Mechanical/Industrial) or equivalent experience in manufacturing engineering field, required. Knowledge
• Knowledgeable in practical applications of engineering science and technology. This includes applying principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to the design and production of various goods and services
• Knowledgeable in machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
Skills & Experience
• Minimum of 10-years’ experience in HVAC manufacturing or related industry.
• Thorough understanding of plant engineering, industrial engineering, and tooling.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Good planning and organization skills.
• Innovative and results oriented.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good supervisory and leadership skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software to prepare budgets and records.
• Proficiency with CAD tools
• Excellent oral and written communication Skills in English language (Arabic an advantage).
