About The Role

A Machine Learning & AI Intern will support the team in building and experimenting with machine learning systems, including MCP server setup and RAG pipelines. The ideal candidate will be curious, detail-oriented, and eager to learn technical workflows in a real development environment. This internship offers a hands-on opportunity to work closely with the engineering team and contribute to meaningful system development and experimentation.

• Assist in setting up and maintaining a local MCP server environment under guidance to support model development and experimentation
• Support the implementation of a basic RAG pipeline by helping integrate retrieval and generation components
• Help prepare and organize datasets by structuring and grouping data for use in the RAG system
• Help clean and format data by standardizing and checking datasets to ensure they work with the system
• Assist in testing the MCP server and RAG pipeline by running test cases and reviewing outputs to verify functionality and quality
• Contribute to documenting setup steps, configurations, and workflows for reproducibility
• Help troubleshoot basic technical issues with guidance from team members.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a Computer Science program
• 0-1 years of experience as an AI engineer Intern
• Any prior internship in software development or data science
• Basic understanding of machine learning workflows through academic or personal projects
• Foundational understanding of AI and machine learning concepts
• Familiarity with data handling, preprocessing, and structured datasets
• Introductory knowledge of natural language processing concepts and workflows
• General awareness of machine learning workflows
• Ability to follow technical documentation and implement guided instructions
• Strong communication skills
• Organizational skills
• Ability to identify and resolve simple issues
• A keen eye for details
• Team player with a collaborative and supportive approach to work
