Responsibilities
To work in collaboration with the Lighting Design Manager to provide exceptional service to the Sales Teams and Whitecroft Customers.
To assist Lighting Designers with technical queries and time-based issues related to project work – notifying the Lighting Design Manager of any serious concerns relate to technical or personal matters.
To provide support, communication and guidance on project design – ensuring to communicate estimated project return dates to the sales force.
To collect, organise, and provide technical direction to projects ready for assignment into the Lighting Design team. Technically assessing and evaluating all projects into the Lighting Design team.
To accurately plan estimated time against project work; effectively manage this onto the Lighting Design Planner for resource management purposes.
Continuously identify and effectively communicate ways to improve the lighting design service, by defining consistent ways of working.
To provide mentorship to Trainee Lighting Designers and New Lighting Designers within the team.
To aid on time-critical projects by assisting in a range of both internal and external design (Calculation and CAD).
Qualifications
· Have gained extensive experience working in a Lighting Design role for projects within the Healthcare, Education, Workspace and other industrial settings. within Lighting Design.
· electrical lighting components design capabilities (LED)
· experience with electrical lighting components/brands
· Knowledge and application of lighting control technology.
· Be an advanced user of both Relux / Dialux and AutoCAD.
· Knowledge and experience to be able to prepare technical submittals packages
· Exposure to providing training and guidance to other members of the business.
