Legal Director (PIF) Full Time

Purpose of the Role

The Legal Director will support the Chief Legal Officer in leading the Legal function and providing strategic, commercial, and regulatory legal advice across the business. The role is responsible for managing legal risks, supporting business growth initiatives, overseeing contractual matters, and ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide practical and business-focused legal advice to management and cross-functional teams.
• Draft, review, negotiate, and manage a wide range of commercial agreements.
• Support strategic projects, partnerships, market expansion initiatives, and corporate transactions.
• Advise on corporate governance, regulatory, employment, intellectual property, and compliance matters.
• Manage external legal counsel and legal budgets.
• Support dispute resolution, investigations, and litigation matters where required.
• Develop and improve legal policies, templates, processes, and governance frameworks.
• Partner with business stakeholders to identify and mitigate legal risks.
• Mentor and develop members of the Legal team.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Law (Master’s degree is a plus ).
• Qualified lawyer with the ability to practice in a recognized jurisdiction.
• Minimum 10 years of legal experience, with a combination of private practice and/or in-house experience preferred.
• Experience in corporate, commercial, regulatory, and governance matters.
• Strong contract drafting and negotiation skills.
• Experience working in fast-paced, highly regulated, or multinational organizations is preferred.
• Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and business partnering capabilities.
