Lead AI Engineer (Healthcare AI) Full Time

Role Description

We are seeking a Lead AI Engineer with 8+ years of development experience for a full-time, remote position. The role focuses on developing and deploying production-grade AI models, particularly in NLP, for healthcare applications. You will design scalable cloud-based systems and build automation pipelines for MLOps. Responsibilities include improving neural network architectures, enhancing system performance, and solving complex pattern recognition problems. You will mentor engineers, enforce best practices, and collaborate cross-functionally to deliver impactful AI solutions.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software development experience, including 3+ years in Python engineering, with experience in AI/ML.
• 2+ years of experience in a lead, senior, or engineering mentorship role.
• Proven experience in AI modeling, particularly in NLP, LLMs, and deep learning.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms and cloud-native architectures.
• Experience maintaining CI/CD pipelines and MLOps workflows.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in fast-paced environments.
• Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and system design.
• Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, etc).
• Working knowledge of LLM tools (e.g., LangChain) and vector databases.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field required; Master’s degree is a plus.

This is a hands-on leadership role requiring deep technical contribution alongside team mentorship.
