2. Role Description

Industrial Resin Factory is seeking a qualified Laboratory Assistant / Production Chemist with experience or strong knowledge in alkyd resin manufacturing, coating resins, and quality control testing.

The selected candidate will support daily laboratory and production activities, including resin testing, batch monitoring, sample preparation, equipment handling, and accurate documentation of quality results.

This role requires close coordination with the production, quality control, and technical teams to ensure that alkyd resin batches meet required specifications and production standards.

3. Key Responsibilities

1. Conduct routine laboratory and quality control tests for alkyd resins and related coating materials.
2. Perform resin specification tests, including:

• Viscosity
• Acid value
• Color
• Solid content
• Drying performance
• Other required resin quality parameters

1. Support production operations by monitoring resin batches during the manufacturing process.
2. Report process deviations and assist in identifying corrective actions when batch results are outside specification.
3. Assist in raw material inspection, sample preparation, in-process testing, and final product approval.
4. Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure proper handling, cleanliness, and calibration when required.
5. Document test results accurately in laboratory records, quality reports, and production forms.
6. Follow safety procedures for chemical handling, laboratory work, and production area activities.
7. Coordinate with production and QC teams to support batch adjustments and process improvements.
8. Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient laboratory environment according to company standards.

4. Qualifications and Requirements

1. Bachelor’s degree or diploma in one of the following fields:

• Chemistry
• Chemical Technology
• Polymer Science
• Industrial Chemistry
• Any related scientific field

1. Experience in alkyd resin production is highly preferred.
2. Previous experience in coating resins, paint manufacturing, polyester resin, or chemical laboratory operations is an advantage.
3. Good knowledge of quality control procedures, laboratory testing methods, and chemical safety standards.
4. Ability to perform laboratory tests accurately and follow standard operating procedures.
5. Strong understanding of common resin testing parameters such as viscosity, acid value, color, solid content, and drying behavior.
6. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving ability.
7. Ability to work effectively in a laboratory and production environment.
8. Good communication skills and ability to coordinate with technical, QC, and production teams.
9. Previous experience in a resin manufacturing or coatings industry environment is highly preferred.

5. Preferred Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience or technical knowledge in alkyd resin manufacturing and understand the relationship between raw materials, process control, laboratory testing, and final resin quality.

The candidate should be detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and capable of supporting both laboratory analysis and production batch monitoring.
