We are currently expanding the Estimation Department at SIMTEC and are looking for a Junior Technical Estimator to join our team.
This role is a great opportunity for a junior engineer or architect with early experience in estimation who wants to develop strong expertise in metal and steel structure projects while working alongside an experienced estimation team.
Candidates with experience in metal structures, steel fabrication, aluminum systems, or cladding works estimation will be strongly preferred.

Junior Technical Estimator – Metal & Steel Structures
Role Overview
SIMTEC is looking for a Junior Technical Estimator to join its Estimation Department. The selected candidate will assist in analyzing project drawings, preparing quantity take-offs, and supporting the estimation team in preparing cost calculations for metal and steel structure projects.
The role focuses on translating architectural and structural drawings into accurate quantities and supporting the preparation of project quotations.
This position is ideal for a junior engineer or architect interested in developing expertise in construction estimation.
Key Responsibilities
· Review architectural and structural drawings to understand project scope
· Perform quantity take-offs from drawings and BOQs
· Assist in preparing cost estimation sheets using Excel
· Extract quantities for steel structures, cladding, and metal works
· Support the preparation of project quotations
· Maintain organized estimation documentation and project records
· Assist in preparing technical information related to project costing
Required Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field
· 1–3 years of experience in estimation
· Experience in companies working with metal structures, steel fabrication, aluminum systems, or cladding works
· Ability to read architectural and structural drawings
· Good understanding of BOQ (Bill of Quantities)
· Proficiency in AutoCAD
· Knowledge of Revit is a plus
· Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Technical Skills

Team Environment
The selected candidate will join an experienced estimation team and will receive hands-on training and mentorship during the onboarding period.

Working hours: 8:00 AM – 5:30 PM
