Role Description

We are seeking a Java Engineer for a full-time, on-site position located in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The Java Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable Java-based applications. Daily tasks include writing efficient, testable, and well-documented code, troubleshooting software issues, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and integrating third-party APIs to enhance platform capabilities. The role also involves participating in code reviews and contributing to system architecture decisions.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Java and experience with Java frameworks such as Spring or Hibernate
• Knowledge of software development lifecycle, object-oriented programming (OOP) principles, and design patterns
• Experience with database technologies, including SQL and NoSQL databases
• Familiarity with development tools such as Git, Maven, and Jenkins
• Understanding of RESTful APIs and microservices architecture
• Ability to write clean, maintainable, and testable code
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work in diverse teams
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus
