Role Description This part-time remote Healthcare Specialist role focuses on supporting patients and clinical teams through high-quality virtual care and coordination. The Healthcare Specialist will review patient information, assist with triage based on established protocols, and provide clear, empathetic communication to patients and caregivers. Daily responsibilities include collaborating with clinical staff, documenting encounters accurately in electronic health records, and following up on care plans or referrals. The role may also include participating in virtual training sessions, contributing to process improvements, and ensuring that all interactions meet regulatory and privacy standards. The Healthcare Specialist is expected to manage time effectively, work independently, and maintain professionalism in a remote environment.
Qualifications

• Clinical and emergency response capabilities, including EMT experience and foundational knowledge of Medicine, to support safe and appropriate patient guidance.
• Strong Communication skills to interact effectively with patients, caregivers, and healthcare team members in a clear, respectful, and culturally sensitive manner.
• Background in Healthcare settings, with an understanding of care coordination, patient workflows, and basic medical terminology.
• Experience in Training or education, such as providing patient instruction, supporting peer training, or participating in continuous learning initiatives.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage multiple priorities, and maintain accurate, timely documentation.
• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems, telehealth tools, and standard office software.
• Relevant certification (e.g., EMT or other clinical credential) and compliance with applicable licensure requirements, where needed.
• Commitment to patient privacy, ethical practice, and adherence to healthcare regulations and organizational policies.
