Head of AI – AI Transformation & Business Efficiency

As the business accelerates its adoption of AI across investment and operational functions, they are seeking a commercially minded Head of AI to drive enterprise-wide AI transformation.

The Role

Working directly with the C-suite, you will define and lead the firm-wide AI strategy, identifying opportunities to modernise workflows, automate processes, and improve operational efficiency using AI-first thinking.

You’ll partner across Investments, Operations, Risk, Compliance, and Technology to design scalable AI solutions that deliver measurable business impact.

This role suits someone who combines deep AI expertise with strong business process understanding and a genuine passion for emerging AI technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and lead the organisation’s AI strategy, roadmap, and architecture.
• Identify opportunities to improve workflows, automation, and operational efficiency through AI.
• Design and implement AI solutions including AI agents, RAG systems, copilots, and workflow automation tools.
• Partner with business stakeholders to solve operational and business challenges using AI.
• Evaluate and integrate modern AI platforms including GPT, Claude, Copilot, Azure AI, Bedrock, and Vertex AI.
• Drive AI adoption and promote AI-first thinking across the business.
• Ensure governance, security, and best practices around AI deployment and usage.
• Stay ahead of emerging AI trends, tools, and technologies.

Skills & Experience

• Proven experience as a Head of AI, Lead AI Architect, Principal Engineer, or similar senior AI leadership role.
• Strong understanding of business operations, workflow optimisation, and process automation.
• Expertise across LLMs, AI agents, RAG architectures, prompt engineering, and enterprise AI solutions.
• Experience implementing AI solutions that drive measurable business efficiency and productivity gains.
• Strong commercial awareness with the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Passionate about AI, automation, and emerging technologies both professionally and personally.
