The Role

Reporting into regional leadership, the General Manager will be responsible for overseeing business performance, operational delivery, and strategic growth across Saudi Arabia. The position combines commercial leadership, stakeholder engagement, and operational oversight, ensuring the successful execution of business objectives within a rapidly evolving market.

You will lead multidisciplinary teams, build strong relationships with public and private sector stakeholders, and play a key role in expanding market presence within the smart cities and infrastructure space.

The role requires an individual capable of balancing strategic direction with hands-on execution, while maintaining accountability for business performance, project delivery, and organisational growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead country operations and act as the senior in-market representative for the organisation.
• Develop and implement growth strategies aligned to regional business objectives.
• Identify and evaluate new market opportunities to support long-term expansion plans.
• Build commercial pipelines and drive business development initiatives across target sectors.
• Establish and maintain relationships with government bodies, customers, partners, suppliers, and industry stakeholders.
• Strengthen local partnerships to support market positioning and business growth.
• Collaborate with regional teams to ensure alignment of strategy, delivery, and commercial performance.
• Oversee financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, revenue growth, and P&L ownership.
• Monitor operational performance and implement initiatives to improve efficiency and competitiveness.
• Manage supplier and partner relationships to ensure strong service delivery and commercial value.
• Oversee programme and project execution, ensuring delivery against timelines, budgets, and quality expectations.
• Lead organisational development, including team structure, workforce planning, and operational scalability.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations, governance standards, and employment legislation.
• Recruit, mentor, and develop high-performing teams while fostering a collaborative culture.
• Represent the organisation at industry events, conferences, and strategic networking opportunities.
• Promote a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Science, Business, or a related discipline.
• Extensive leadership experience within technology, infrastructure, transport, utilities, or smart city sectors.
• Strong understanding of the Saudi Arabian market, particularly within government-led industries such as transport, aviation, infrastructure, or utilities.
• Demonstrated success in developing business strategy and delivering commercial growth.
• Proven ability to lead complex operations while driving business performance.
• Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets, forecasting, and full P&L responsibility.
• Track record of overseeing large-scale, high-value projects and programmes.
• Excellent leadership and stakeholder management capabilities.
