Full-Stack Developer (In Person – Dubai) Full Time NEW

Avantera Capital is an asset management firm specializing in algorithmic and automated trading across currencies, crypto, stocks, options, commodities, and indices. We build data-driven, AI-powered investment strategies, and engineering sits at the core of what we do.

We’re hiring a Full-Stack Python Developer for an on-site contract role in Dubai (2–3 days per week on-site). This is an hourly, ongoing engagement — ideal for a skilled freelancer. You’ll help build and maintain the data and trading infrastructure behind our automated investment platform, spanning data pipelines, backend APIs, databases, and web applications.

WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON

– Maintain and improve Python data pipelines that collect market data and load it into PostgreSQL and AWS S3

– Build and maintain backend services and REST APIs (Django, FastAPI) and internal dashboards (Streamlit)

– Integrate brokerage and financial APIs (Schwab, IBKR), including authentication/token flows, using FIX and REST APIs

– Administer Linux servers — managing services, scheduled jobs, deployments, and recovery

– Configure and maintain Nginx, SSL, and service routing

– Ensure reliable, secure handling of financial data across the stack

REQUIREMENTS

– Strong Python and full-stack web development experience

– Solid SQL and PostgreSQL skills

– Hands-on experience with REST APIs (and FIX is a strong plus)

– AWS experience, especially S3

– Linux server and database administration

– Solid understanding of financial data processing and integration

PREFERRED

– Brokerage/financial API experience — Interactive Brokers (IBKR) and Charles Schwab

– Django, FastAPI, or Streamlit

– Nginx, DevOps, and data-pipeline/ETL experience

– Familiarity with AI coding tools (Claude, Codex)

COMPENSATION

Hourly contract rate, based on experience.

You must be based in Dubai or able to be on-site 2–3 days per week.
