Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Freelance Writer role based in Jeddah. The Freelance Writer will develop clear, engaging, and accurate written content that supports educators, administrators, and learners using Google for Education tools. Daily responsibilities include researching education technology topics, drafting and revising articles, guides, blog posts, and marketing copy, and adapting content for different audiences and channels. The writer will collaborate closely with product, marketing, and education teams to ensure content aligns with brand voice, supports product launches, and reflects local context and language requirements where needed. The role also involves reviewing existing materials for clarity and consistency, incorporating feedback from stakeholders, and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Qualifications
Strong writing and editing abilities, with demonstrated experience in creating clear, concise, and engaging content for digital platforms.
Proficiency in researching complex topics and translating them into user-friendly content for educators and non-technical audiences.
Experience developing content strategies, including planning content calendars, aligning content with product and marketing goals, and optimizing for key audiences.
Familiarity with web content best practices, including basic SEO principles, readability standards, and formatting for online consumption.
Knowledge of education or education technology domains, especially K–12 or higher education, is highly beneficial.
Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, accept and integrate feedback, and manage multiple projects and deadlines.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with a commitment to accuracy, inclusivity, and consistent tone and style.
Fluency in English; proficiency in Arabic is a plus for localized content creation in Jeddah and the broader region.
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Education, English, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Previous experience writing for technology, SaaS, or education-focused organizations is an advantage.
