Job Purpose

Provide professional family counseling and youth awareness services aimed at strengthening family cohesion, supporting social stability, reducing divorce rates, and enhancing youth and family wellbeing through counseling programs, awareness initiatives, and community engagement activities.

Job Description

The Family Counselor & Youth Awareness Specialist will be responsible for delivering counseling and awareness services to individuals, families, and youth through professional case management, reconciliation sessions, training programs, and awareness campaigns. The role includes conducting family studies, implementing intervention plans, coordinating with external entities, and supporting community awareness initiatives in universities and government institutions.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Conduct family counseling sessions to diagnose issues, identify counseling objectives, and support individuals in achieving empowerment goals.
• Prepare comprehensive case studies covering family, financial, educational, occupational, health, and environmental aspects.
• Design and implement guidance and intervention plans based on clients social, personal, and humanitarian needs.
• Rebuild healthy family relationships and encourage self-dependence among clients.
• Follow up on counseling cases according to agreed timelines and ensure achievement of counseling objectives.
• Coordinate with external entities and refer cases to relevant authorities when required.
• Enroll clients in awareness programs, workshops, and support initiatives.
• Conduct individual and family interviews and document findings to support child visitation plans and family adjustment processes.
• Facilitate reconciliation sessions between parties involved in child visitation cases to strengthen family bonds and reduce divorce rates.
• Review children s case reports, evaluate visitation sessions, and provide recommendations to ensure children s physical and psychological wellbeing.
• Prepare and implement family awareness programs and community initiatives to strengthen family cohesion.
• Deliver awareness and training programs for youth, especially individuals preparing for marriage, in coordination with relevant departments and external entities.
• Coordinate with partners and supporting entities to implement family and youth awareness campaigns.
• Provide consultations through personal interviews, field visits, electronic consultations, and phone consultations.
• Prepare training plans for university students related to family counseling and social awareness.
• Prepare periodic reports related to counseling services, awareness activities, and program outcomes.
• Ensure compliance with approved information security policies and confidentiality procedures.
• Perform any other duties within the scope of the role.

Qualifications

• UAE National only.
• Bachelor s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, Counseling, Human Services, or a related field.
• Minimum 2 5 years of experience in family counseling, youth awareness, social services, or related fields.
• Strong communication, counseling, and conflict resolution skills.
• Knowledge of family counseling practices, child wellbeing, and community awareness programs.
• Ability to prepare reports, case studies, and intervention plans.
• Proficiency in Arabic and English is preferred.
