We’re hiring: Experimental Systems & Instrumentation Engineer

An early-stage deep-tech startup, developing a novel energy generation technology, is seeking
an Electronics or Instrumentation Engineer / Technician with an experimental orientation to join its R&D team.
The role is well suited for electronics and instrumentation engineers, experimental physicists, and laboratory engineers with an interest in experimental research and applied technology
development.
Position Description (Full–Time):
– Design, integration, and hands-on implementation of instrumentation and data acquisition (DAQ) systems for experimental research platforms.
– Control and DAQ software may be developed by external contractors; the role includes system specification, technical supervision, and integration of these systems.
Responsibilities:
• Specification, procurement, and implementation of instrumentation and DAQ systems, including system architecture definition for synchronization and data management
• Integration, testing, and commissioning of instrumentation, sensor interfaces, control systems, and DAQ hardware
• Technical supervision of external contractors developing control and DAQ software
• Hands-on work with electronics systems and scientific instrumentation
• Collaboration with a multidisciplinary R&D team
Requirements:
• Electronics or Instrumentation Engineer / Technician
• Background in physics or hands-on experience with experimental systems
• Experience with measurement systems, instrumentation, and DAQ in experimental environments
• Independent problem-solver with strong engineering judgment and effective teamwork
Advantage:
• Experience in data processing, programming (e.g., Python/MATLAB/LabVIEW), and automation of experimental systems
• Familiarity with data analysis tools or AI methods The position is open to all genders.
