Job Description
The Production Engineer–Joinery is responsible for planning, managing, and optimizing joinery production operations to ensure products are manufactured efficiently, safely, within budget, and according to approved drawings and quality standards. The role ensures timely project delivery, effective manpower utilization, and continuous improvement of production processes.
Responsibilities
Production Planning & Scheduling – Prepare and monitor daily/weekly production plans.
Ensure production targets are achieved as per project timelines, coordinate manpower and machine allocation. Drawing & Technical Review – Review shop drawings and cutting lists before production.
Coordinate with design and project teams for clarifications, ensure compliance with project specifications. Factory Operations Management – Supervise all joinery production activities (cutting, assembly, veneering, polishing, finishing).Monitor CNC, panel saw, edge banding, and other machinery operations, improve workflow and production efficiency. Quality Assurance & Control – Ensure finished products meet required quality standards.
Conduct inspections at different production stages.
Minimize rework, defects, and customer complaints. Material & Inventory Control – Monitor material consumption (MDF, plywood, veneer, laminate, hardware).
Reduce wastage and optimize cutting plans.
Coordinate with procurement for material availability. Cost Control – Control production costs and reduce unnecessary expenses.
Improve productivity to achieve cost efficiency. Health, Safety & Compliance – Ensure safety procedures are implemented in the factory,
Conduct regular safety checks and toolbox meetings, Maintain compliance with company policies.
Qualifications
Diploma or bachelor’s degree in civil engineering
5 – 10 years of hands-on experience in Joinery Production. UAE / GCC project experience preferred.
