About the Candidate

The ideal candidate will possess 2-4 years of working in residential and commercial interior design. They must be good at multi-tasking, organized, energetic, eager to learn, cheerful, and also be comfortable in a fast-paced environment. No two days are the same- some might be more stressful than the other days and some days might be much slower. They will be a creative self-starter, who can work autonomously and take initiative- and must be able to take ownership of their tasks, end to end. They will be passionate about what they do, take pride in their ideas, and have fun along the way! You must be able to identify and prove that your design sensibilities resonate with TNC’s core philosophy.

About the Role

The Design Associate will contribute by:

• Possess relevant work experience from Europe. This is essential for the role.
• Assisting with all aspects of design development, that is led by the Creative Designer. 
• Assisting and taking lead on site visits for relevant projects, ensuring end to end communication and responsibility for all aspects of the project.
• Taking lead for sourcing, procurement/purchasing lists and share with clients. Assist as required. 
• Preparing design proposals with the Creative Designer, to submit to clients and otherwise. 
• Actively coordinate and liaise with suppliers, vendors and clients. There will be some communication with contractors for relevant items like samples and project materials. 
• Manage and maintain client and company budget lists per project, to ensure compliance. 
• Assist in selection and finalization of furniture, fixtures, finishes, appliances and materials that meets the project’s goals. Prepare and source samples as necessary. 
• Taking lead in meeting preparation, post-meeting notes, being able to attend meetings as needed. Sharing meeting notes with all relevant parties. 
• Sending out a weekly report to all active clients, summing up the week’s progress and upcoming progress. 
• Helping with content for social media.
• Introduce fresh concepts that are aligned with TNC values, without submitting to current trends. 

Role Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in either Interior Design or Architecture.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects, while meeting time and budget constraints.
• An enthusiastic and dedicated work ethic.
• Proficient in Photoshop, Indesign, AutoCAD, Enscape etc.
• Strong multi-tasking skills and time management.
• Strong conceptual design skills to be able to pull together presentations.
• Maintain project programs and deliverables.
• Technical knowledge and ability to developing design and take the design through to documentation.
