Deputy HSE Engineer

About the role
Support the HSE Manager in leading and implementing the full Health, Safety & Environment program for the Bishah Project, ensuring compliance with company standards, contractor requirements, and Saudi regulatory laws.
Duties and Responsibilities
- HSE leadership support — Assist the HSE Manager in supervising site HSE teams and contractors.
- Risk management — Review and approve JHA/TRA, method statements, and high‑risk activity controls.
- Incident investigation — Lead or support investigations, root‑cause analysis, and corrective action closure.
- PTW oversight — Ensure proper implementation of Permit‑to‑Work for lifting, electrical, excavation, confined space, and hot work.
- Emergency readiness — Conduct drills, evaluate response capability, and maintain emergency equipment.
- Contractor HSE management — Monitor EPC/subcontractor compliance and conduct coordination meetings.
- Environmental compliance — Ensure proper waste handling, spill control, dust/noise monitoring.
- Reporting & KPIs — Prepare weekly/monthly HSE reports, dashboards, and performance indicators.
What are we looking for?
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Safety, or Environmental Science
- 8 years min HSE experience in EPC, construction, or energy projects
- NEBOSH IGC mandatory; OSHA 30, ISO 45001/14001 preferred
- Strong experience managing contractors in Saudi projects
