Overview

We are looking for a Cybersecurity Officer to protect and enhance Averda’s IT security across cloud, on-premises, and endpoint environments. The role focuses on threat monitoring, incident response, identity and access security (Microsoft 365/Azure), and vulnerability management while ensuring compliance with ISO 27001 and NIST standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Enhance and safeguard Averda’s global security posture across cloud, on-premises, and endpoint environments.
• Implement and maintain security controls to protect corporate assets and data.
• Manage and optimize enterprise threat-protection platforms and respond to security incidents.
• Administer and secure Microsoft 365 and Azure/Entra ID identity environments.
• Perform network hardening and enforce secure configuration baselines across the organization.
• Manage endpoint compliance, patch management, and device security.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and coordinate timely remediation.
• Maintain cybersecurity governance and ensure continuous compliance with ISO 27001 and NIST frameworks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or related field
• Master’s degree in a related discipline advantageous.

Knowledge and Certifications

• Microsoft certifications preferred: AZ-900, SC-200, SC-300, MS-900, MD-102
• Security certifications preferred: CEH, CompTIA Security+, or equivalent
• Strong working knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST), security controls, and industry best practices

Technical Competencies

• Threat Protection: Trend Micro Apex One, Microsoft 365 Defender, Windows Defender AV/EDR, Defender for Cloud Apps
• Cloud & Identity: Microsoft 365, Azure, Entra ID (Conditional Access, MFA, PIM, identity governance)
• Endpoint Management: Microsoft Intune, Endpoint Security profiles, patch management, OS hardening
• Network Security: firewall, switch, VPN and Wi-Fi hardening, segmentation, ZTNA, secure baselines
• Vulnerability & Certificate Management: vulnerability scanning, remediation, SSL/TLS certificate lifecycle
• Governance & Compliance: ISO 27001, NIST frameworks, security documentation, SOPs, and audits

Experience

• Minimum 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity, SOC operations, or IT security engineering
• Hands-on experience with Trend Micro security platforms and the Microsoft Defender suite (M365 Defender, Windows Defender)
• Experience securing Microsoft 365 and Azure/Entra ID environments, including Intune security and compliance
• Experience with network security and vulnerability management
• Proven ability to conduct vulnerability assessments and drive remediation with stakeholders
• Experience working in global or multinational environments preferred

Language Proficiency

• English (fluent)
• Arabic (advantageous)
• French (advantageous)
